Embroidery Design Library

I have been spending quite a bit of time lately trying to get my embroidery designs organized and filed into categories so I can find a design when needed. Or to show possibilities to customers.

I'm not done yet. But I've gotten to the point where it's managable now. There is still work to be done, particularly with the older designs- like trying to find where they came from and changing the format to the correct colors.

In backing my work up to my external drive, the machine does a count. With the other designs in folders waiting to be sorted or on disks that I've purchased sets of designs--- the total number of files I have exceeds 232,000!!

Which works out to about half of them being actual designs (some files are color lists, the file for the embroidery machine to know what color thread to use, several different sizes of a design, or various pieces to a design (ie a lace bowl will have 2 parts- a bottom and a side.)

I better get busy if I ever want to stitch even half of those.
