Becky is going to have Lasik surgery on Wed, Aug 12th. The surgeon is offering a special price until the end of August, and was able to schedule me in before then.
If things go as expected, I will only need a pair of magnifying glasses for reading and working on the computer. It will be really nice to be able to drive and clearly see the road signs. And it will be even nicer to clearly see my family's faces without things being very blurry.
The out-of-focus problems I've been having lately are not due to a degeneration in my eyes, but rather a shifting of the plane in my astigmatism. My eyes are actually very healthy.

This sounds exciting! One day maybe I'll be brave enough to even see if I'm a cadidate for this surgery.
