Sorry it's been awhile since I've updated this blog, but I've been sick with bronchitis. I got sick right after my sister left (I'm really glad it didn't happen while she was here!)So I haven't gotten to finishing the editing of the photos.
The kids are away at a youth retreat this weekend. So Jonathan and I are just relaxing. He has been away most of the last 2 weeks running retreats and visiting with soldiers. He leaves again on Sunday to go to Denver for a training course.
Denise is still looking for a job. The babysitting one didn't work out because they wanted to pay her too little for watching the baby all day. (That was Jon's and my decision.) She did apply to KFC, but since she doesn't want to work Sundays, her application was rejected. So the hunt goes on. In the mean time, she is working on perfecting making pita bread.
Jon Paul is thinking about which classes he will take next year. This high school offers Advanced Placement classes (meaning if he passes the end of year test, he will be able to get college credit). He has a drill competition coming up the end of the month.
Naomi is on the track team. She will be competing in discus, shot put and long jump. THe first meet is March 13th. She is also meeting with the chess team once a week.
I have been working on a couple of embroidery orders- 30 more shirts for the middle school chorus and an altar linen. We also went to the big semi-annual sale at the fabric warehouse. So now I have lots of fleece and brocade to sew with. Need to get started on that. I'm also working on better organizing all of the embroidery designs I've been collecting for 3 years. It is slow going, but hopefully I'll have a better idea of what I have and can find a design when I need it.
I did get the basement reorganized into a sewing room and family room. Fortunately none of the computers or sewing machines were placed under the washing machine drain as it has leaked twice in the last month. We are not sure what is causing the problem.
